Improved hearing

Pre-Jodi, I never noticed the little noises, like the clank-clank of the now turned-off ice maker, how loud a telephone ring really can be or the incessant barking from nearby dogs that inspires my dogs to howl along. Having a kid was like having a hearing aid installed.
